Gelisa Learns How to Swim

A heartfelt THANK YOU for your support of Ramapo for Children’s Summer Scholarship Appeal! For more than 90 years, Ramapo has been providing children with social, emotional and learning challenges with the tools they need to form healthy friendships, develop self-confidence and experience success.

11 year old Gelisa has been a Ramapo camper for the past five summers. During her first summer at Camp Ramapo, Gelisa learned how to swim with the support of her counselors and the encouragement of her new camp friends. Her favorite stroke is the backstroke, which she enjoys demonstrating for her friends, and she proudly wears the bracelet she earned for passing her deep water test.

Summer camp at Ramapo is an opportunity that many children from disadvantaged homes would not be able to experience without the support of people like you. Your contribution provides these children with a summer of laughter, learning and fun. On behalf of all the children we serve, thank you!
